The Zebesians are a large faction of space pirates native to the planet Zebes who managed to take control of their home planet so that it could be used as a Space Pirate base. This fact, plus their sheer numbers, have led to the Zebesians being the main face of the Space Pirates, if one were to ignore their leaders Mother Brain and Ridley that is. The exact intelligence of Zebesians is unknown as evidence suggests them to be extremely primitive creatures who would attack anything in sight without the guidance of a strong leader. It’s unclear if this fact applies to all Zebesians or just those who have been cloned or otherwise enhanced.
Fight Pattern[]
These Zebesian Space Pirates act like a composite form of the ones from the Metroid series as they combine their attacks and behaviors together. Zebesian Space Pirates are fast and agile, capable of running, jumping, and even wall jumping and wall clinging! As a tradeoff, Zebesian Space Pirates are rather lacking in the HP department which makes them pretty easy to kill.
Attacks[]
Laser Shot[]
The Zebesian Space Pirate’s primary long range attack, this attack will see the Zebesian Space Pirate open up its large claws before firing out small pellets of energy shots forward. These shots are fast and far-reaching, but are pretty weak in terms of damage.
Claw Swipe[]
For a melee option, the Zebesian Space Pirates are capable of swinging their large claws up and down to batter opponents in the face who are trying to attack them up close and personal.
Claw Toss[]
Zebesian Space Pirates have a second ranged attack that they can use which involves throwing a projectile shaped like their claws in straight line forwards. These claws are more damaging than their laser shot projectiles, but travel a much shorter range.
Dive Kick[]
If a Zebesian is in the air or clinging to a wall, it may decide to dive down towards you with a kick attack. These kicks are capable of spiking fighters if hit directly from above so players should be careful around open pits when below a Space Pirate.
