Warp Stars are star-shaped vehicles themed around the idea of being able to pilot shooting stars. Warp Stars are Kirby’s primary method of transportation and allow him to quickly travel from one area to another, or even other worlds. Kirby has proved to be a skilled pilot when it comes to flying around on Warp Stars. Specifically just flying though as he tends to crash more often than make successful landings.

When a fighter interacts with a Warp Star it’ll send them rocketing up high above the screen. After a few moments pass the Warp Star (and its pilot) will crash back down into the stage and cause an explosion dealing a decent amount of damage and knockback. By default, the Warp Star will crash back into the same spot where it was initially picked up, however by tilting the control stick left or right a fighter can influence where the Warp Star will crash. By holding down the down or attack button you can make the Warp Star crash back down to the stage earlier than usual. Additionally, holding down the up or shield buttons will cause the Warp Star to crash back down later than usual for some delay tactics.
