Hideously disfigured and unwanted by his parents, Max Thompson Jr. was kept locked away in his room and fed through a small hole in the wall. One day Max was able to break free and escape from his confines and in his anger he brutally murdered his parents which began a long bloody history of him chasing and slaughtering any animal or person that he could find. Eventually Max would be taken by the Entity where he was given the new moniker The Hillbilly. As The Hillbilly he was tasked with using his chainsaw to hunt down Survivors and sacrifice them in the Entity’s name.
Mode of Assistance[]
Once summoned from the Assist Trophy, The Hillbilly will raise his chainsaw up and rev it for a few seconds before making a mad dash forwards and hitting anything in his way with the chainsaw. The Hillbilly sees no reason to ever stop and will even go flying off of platforms. He is capable of trapping anyone he hits in his path as he carries them with them and deals several more hits as he runs with the chainsaw. While players can shield through being hit by the chainsaw and avoid getting carried by him, The Hillbilly’s chainsaw is able to deal a heavy amount of damage to shields so use it carefully. If the Hillbilly ends up running off a platform and into the abyss he’ll be respawned up onto another platform a short moment later. Following this (or just running into a wall) The Hillbilly will rev up his chainsaw before running forwards for a second time. Following this The Hillbilly will rev up and run for a third and fourth time before finally disappearing. The Hillbilly has some level of intelligence in determining which direction to charge with his chainsaw and will always attempt to hit as many players as possible in one go.
