Stage Info[]
An ancient temple with a history that stretches out through the long era of time. It’s most well known for housing the Master Sword during the events of Ocarina of Time. When Link went inside to retrieve the Master Sword his spirit was sealed away for he was not yet old enough to become the Hero of Time. Seven years later he was awakened...
Stage Design[]
Stage Layout[]
The Temple of Time is a stage that shifts between 2 phases. The battle starts with the Temple of Time looking clean and pristine with all 6 of it’s platforms in prime condition as seen in the first image. As this is a grounded stage the floor can also be walked on. As this stage takes place inside the Temple of Time you can see the Master Sword plunged inside it’s pedestal in the background but it cannot be interacted with. About 1-2 minutes into the match a young Link will walk into the background and up to the Master Sword where he will take the Master Sword by the handle and pull it forth. The background will shift and distort as time warps forwards 7 years.
We are now in phase 2 and refer to the second picture. The passage of time has ravaged the stage making it look old and ruined. The Master Sword is gone from the background and in general the whole temple looks dirty. Two of the platforms have been destroyed in the 7 years that passed while the others are all broken and have had parts of them crumbled away. In this state these platforms can all be damaged and destroyed until they are nothing. 1-2 minutes an older Link will walk back into the Temple, Master Sword in hand, and will place it back in it’s pedestal. The stage will twist and warp once again as time rolls back 7 years and the stage is restored to how it was in phase 1.
If the match continues to the point where we are back in phase 2, any platforms that were destroyed by the players the previous time they were in phase 2 will no longer be destroyed.
