What's this? A simple red mushroom you say? Not so I say. Why all one must do is take a bite and you'll grow in size! Double your height and strength with just one bite of these delicious Super Mushrooms and you too can squash Goombas and Koopa Troopas like the legendary Mario himself. But be careful, getting hit will cause you to lose your added strength and shrink back to your normal size.
Item Usage[]
In Smash Bros, upon grabbing a Super Mushroom the player will increase in size making them both a bigger target and hit their enemies even harder. A full list of the effects of the Super Mushroom include:
- Makes the character, as well as their hitbox and hurtbox, bigger.
- Character becomes 1.6x heavier and decreasing the effect of knockback against them.
- Attacks deal 1.56x more damage and knockback. Does not include projectile attacks.
- Thrown items will travel farther and deal more damage.
- Slightly increases jump height.
- Increases falling speed.
- Slightly increases running speed.
- Longer landing lag when using aerial attacks.
- Increases the size of of ledge sweetspot.
- Character's sound effects and voice will lower in pitch.
This transformation only lasts for about 10 seconds. If while under the effects of a Super Mushroom to come into contact with a Poison Mushroom you will return to normal size. The same goes for if you touch a Super Mushroom while under the effects of a Poison Mushroom.
