Character Info[]
With an eye for fashion and a love for business, the Savvy Stylist is skilled in the art of boutiquing. While each Style Savvy game has a different player-made protagonist, this Savvy Stylist in particular is based on Style Savvy: Styling Star. Having been left a boutique by their uncle Tim, the Savvy Stylist must quickly adapt to her situation if she wishes to keep the boutique running smoothly. From April Bonbon to StageDive, from Marzipan Sky to Raven Candle, and from Markus & Corman to Basic U, this Savvy Stylist keeps their boutique stocked with all the latest brands so that she can always style her customers with the attire they desire.
General Information[]
Entrance[]
The Savvy Stylist will start out behind a changing curtain, and just as the battle is about to start she will move the curtain out of her way and step through ready to fight in the latest fashions.
Kirby Hat[]
Kirby will have the Savvy Stylist’s brunette hair on his head as well as her heels on his feet.
Taunts[]
Up Taunt: The Savvy Stylist will take out a mirror and examine her face and hair for a moment. Satisfied, she’ll smile and put the mirror away.
Down Taunt: The Savvy Stylist will strike several modeling poses in quick succession as she fluidly transitions from one to the other and shows off her sense of style to the best of her ability.
Side Taunt: The Savvy Stylist will pull out her business card and gesture forwards with it as she offers it to the other fighters so that she can help them improve their style.
Victory Poses[]
- The Savvy Stylist will use a makeup kit to touch up her makeup after a hard fight before turning to the camera with a smirk on her face.
- With dimmed lights the Savvy Stylist will walk out onto the screen like a model on a runway, and ending with turning her back to the screen and looking back over her shoulder at the camera.
- The Savvy Stylist will come running in from the side with several bags on her arms. As she approaches the middle of the screen she’ll laugh and spin in a circle before standing in a proud pose facing the camera with all her bags.
Moveset[]
Standard Special[]
Showcase: A small wardrobe will appear just in the background next to the Savvy Stylist as she grabs a random item from her store out of it and tosses it forwards in an arc. These items can include shoes, various tops and bottoms, purses, and other accessories. Each different item is pulled straight from the Style Savvy games and the different types of them will be tossed forwards in different arcs and damage values making this a difficult move to predict similar to Mr. Game & Watch’s Chef special. By repeatedly tapping the special button the Savvy Stylist will continue to throw items in her wardrobe until she runs out. Each item tossed will consume 1 Inventory. Read more about Inventory in the Extra Skill.
Side Special[]
Rolling Garments: A rolling rack will appear next to the Savvy Stylist filled with various garments. The Savvy Stylist will run in place shortly before jumping onto the rack’s frame and rolling forwards with it. The rack can roll forwards for 3/4ths the length of Final Destination when used on the ground, but when in the air it will only go about half as far as Battlefield. By default there will be three garments on the rack with each garment consuming 1 Inventory. By charging up this move the Savvy Stylist will load up the rack with up to 10 total garments. The more garments loaded on the rack the more damage the attack will do as more clothing = more damage. If the Savvy Stylist doesn’t have more than 3 Inventories available then this move cannot be charged. The same is true if the Savvy Stylist has only 1-2 Inventories, but in addition the attack will be weaker than normal. Read more about Inventory in the Extra Skill.
Up Special[]
T-Rope: The Savvy Stylist will do a short hop into the air as she ties together various tops and bottoms into what would pass for a rope. This T-Rope acts as a tether for the Savvy Stylist and if it makes contact with a platform it will pull her up to it. If the T-Rope makes contact with another fighter not only will it pull the Savvy Stylist up to them, but the Savvy Stylist will then use the opposing fighter like a springboard and leap further up into the air. Following such a move, the Savvy Stylist is capable of using this move one additional time before they must land on the ground. This move will consume 5 Inventories. If the Savvy Stylist has 1-4 Inventories available then the length of this attack will be decreased proportionally. Read more about Inventory in the Extra Skill.
Down Special[]
Try This On!: The Savvy Stylist will take out a fashionable top and hold it in front of her. If an opponent hits the garment with a close melee attack then the Savvy Stylist will counter the strike and force the top over their head and make them wear it. For some characters this might look rather awkward, yet more importantly it’s also quite humorous. At this point the Savvy Stylist has two options: 1. Disengage from the opponent and walk away. The opponent will be trapped in the garment for a short time allowing for the Savvy Stylist to either follow-up with another attack or to run away. 2. Press the special button again, up to 3 times even. Doing this will have the Savvy Stylist force the fighter to pose in three different modeling poses (one per press of the special button) with each pose dealing additional damage to the opponent. After the third pose the garment will break away and the opponent will be freed. Each use of this move, successful or not, will consume 1 Inventory. Read more about Inventory in the Extra Skill.
Final Smash[]
Styling Star: A stylistic star will explode out in front of the Savvy Stylist and pull any opposing fighters in its range into itself before it disappears and transitions into a cinematic. The trapped fighters will now find themselves in a dressing room surrounded by various bits of clothing, accessories, make-up, and the Savvy Stylist who is ready to transform them into a Star! A cloud of smoke will appear as the Savvy Stylist blitzes around the fighter applying varying touch-ups to their appearance and putting them in different outfits. The scene will transition again to a runway where each fighter will be forced to show their stuff as the photographers take an unending amount of photos as they change outfits in an instant on the stage. The damage keeps on coming with this Final Smash as the fighters take constant hits while the Savvy Stylist is giving them their makeovers and then with each flash of the photographer’s cameras. The Final Smash will finally come to a close as the trapped fighters collapse dizzy to the ground before being blasted away from the Savvy Stylist.
Extra Skill[]
Boutique Stock: The Savvy Stylist’s special moves all rely on a resource management system similar to fighters like Steve, and the Balloon Fighter. The Savvy Stylist relies on having an inventory of clothes at her disposal to and this Extra Skill allows her to refill her missing stock. When the Extra Skill button is held down a trunk of garments will appear next to the Savvy Stylist and she will begin to pick garments out of it and place them in her pockets and increase her Inventory count by 1 for each garment. The Savvy Stylist will start out each battle with 10 Inventory stacks and can have up to a maximum of 25. If the Savvy Stylist is ever completely out of their Inventory they will be unable to use any of their Special Moves. All other moves however will remain performable as usual.
