Stage Info[]

Saffron City is known to be the largest city in the entire Kanto region. It’s home to the legendary Silph Co. creators of the Silph Scope, Poke Balls, and TMs. In the years following Team Rocket’s defeat a magnet train was constructed in Saffron City that runs from here to Goldenrod City in the Johto region. Saffron City is also home to a rivalry between the Psychic Sabrina and the Karate Master Kiyo. Both wanted to lead a Gym for the city, but in the end it was Sabrina that won out.

Stage Layout[]

As a returning stage Saffron City remains the same as its previous appearance. You fight on the rooftops of Saffron City with one skinny building on the right, a sloped Saffron City in the middle, a short building on the left, and two floating platforms also on the left that can move on a vertical axis. On the right side of the Saffron City building is the door to an elevator where at times a Pokemon can pop out of and serve as a hazard.

Stage Hazards[]

Chansey:[]

When Chansey appears she’ll toss out some eggs nearby which can be picked up and thrown by other players. Interestingly instead of damaging players on contact, running into Chansey will instead heal you about 5% of your damage.

Charmander:[]

When Charmander appears he’ll breath out a short flamethrower similar to the flames of a Fire Flower with each hit dealing 3% damage. Once you’re in the blast it’s hard to get out of it so try not to get hit. Additionally, getting hit by Charmander himself will deal 5% damage.

Electrode:[]

When Electrode appears it’ll sit there for a few seconds before exploding dealing high knockback and 30% damage to anyone in the blast.

Porygon:[]

When Porygon appears it’ll immediately lunge straight forward dealing 18% damage and then an additional 8% if you hit it after the movement.

Venusaur:[]

When Venusaur appears he’ll throw a volley of razor-sharp leaves forward which deal about 3% damage each. Venusaur himself will deal 14% damage on impact.
