Stage Info[]

The castle where Princess Peach calls home and governs the Mushroom Kingdom from. A multitude of Toads live here as well as they serve Princess Peach including her loyal retainer Toadsworth. Despite being a royal castle where you would expect everything to remain prim and proper, Peach has allowed Mario, Luigi, and their friends to use her castle as a location for some of their go kart racing and has even let them race inside of its halls! Something that may be even more curious is the fact that the halls of this castle contain paintings which lead to other worlds when jumped through them. These worlds were critical when Bowser took over the castle and imprisoned Peach inside of it as he scattered the Power Stars to his minions for protection.

Stage Design[]

Stage Layout[]

This stage is fought on top of the roof of Peach’s Castle. The left and right are mostly flat with the platforms becoming slopes at the edge. In the middle there is a short tower that interrupts the flat roof serving as a divider. There is only a small amount of space to stand here on the left and right as another towering platform juts out from the top with another small platform you can fight on. Finally, there are two two small platforms which hover on the left and right sides right about where the sloping edges begin.

Stage Hazards[]

Switches:[]

Throughout the battle, switches of three different colors can appear on the stage and when hit they will each cause something different to happen. The Green Switch will cause two green platforms to appear to the left and right of the high tower. Two ! blocks will also appear which float in the air to the left of the castle. The Red Switch will cause two red platforms to stretch out from the main flat area of the castle on the left and right above the slopes. Two red ! blocks will also appear which float off to the left and right of the middle tower in between the tower and floating platforms. The Blue Switch will cause two slanted blue platforms to appear on the left and right side of the stage hovering above the sloped part of the roof. These platforms are not mirrored and both slant from up-left to down-right. One blue ! block will also appear higher up above the tall tower in the middle of the stage.

Banzai Bill:[]

At some point every 1-5 minutes, a large Banzai Bill will fly in from a random side of the screen and travel slowly in a straight line until it impacts against the castle. Making contact with the Banzai Bill is damaging, however there is a worse threat. About four seconds after the Banzai Bill impacts against the castle it will explode with a large radius causing about 30-45% damage to anyone in its range along with a very large amount of knockbacks.
