Stage Info[]

The planet Zebes once served as a secret base for the Space Pirates where their leader Mother Brain was stationed. When the Galactic Federation learned of both the Space Pirates and the Metroids being at Zebes they tasked Samus Aran with annihilating both threats. Samus seemingly succeeded in her task as she destroyed Mother Brain and the Space Pirate’s Mother Ship however years later the Space Pirates returned to rebuild both their strength, and Mother Brain.

Stage Layout[]

Planet Zebes features a jagged main platform as opposed to the standard flat platforms that most stages have. There are three additional platforms above the main one with two going straight horizontally and the other going diagonally up from left to right. One final small platform is off to the right of the stage which rises and falls going from just above the highest platform to just below the main platform.

You can sometimes see Wavers and Ridley flying around in the background as smaller sprites.

Hazards[]

Acid:[]

Acid lies at the bottom of the stage making it so that if you were knocked off the stage and fell down, you’d hit the acid instead of falling to your death. Touching the acid is damaging however and hits the players with high knockback. This can sometimes save you from certain death however. As the match goes on the acid can rise and fall to different levels on the stage. The acid can even completely cover the main platform and go as high as obscuring the two lower platforms above. Thankfully the acid can never reach the topmost platform so there is always a safe haven from the acid.
