Stage Info[]
A sentient planet and the source of all Phazon in the galaxy. Living meteors, called Leviathans, are grown on Phaaze where they are sent into space to corrupt other planets with Phazon. Only five planets are known to have been infected by a Leviathan with those being Tallon IV, Bryyo, Aether, Elysia, and the Pirate Homeworld. Thanks to the efforts of Samus Aran and the Galactic Federation, the threat of Phaaze, Phazon, and Dark Samus have all been neutralized.
Stage Design[]
Stage Layout[]
Phaaze features a large Final Destination-esque platform in the middle which looks like it is being held together by unstable energy and could fall apart at any time. Thankfully, it can’t.
Hazards[]
Phasing Platforms: Three platforms are arranged on this stage which can phase in and out of existence. You will always know if a platform is going to phase in or out by a glowing band of energy where the platform would lie. These platforms are marked by being purple on the layout image. Each platform can phase in/out individually or as a group.
Phazon Tentacle: Sometimes during the match a Phazon Tentacle will sprout out of the main platform. The tentacle is passive and waves about lazily. However if a fighter makes contact with the tentacle they’ll take a small amount of electrical damage.
Phazon Metroids: Metroids infected with Phazon. Like the Phasing Platforms, they can phase onto the stage and are indicated by a glowing orb of energy. Phazon Metroids act like the Baby Metroid Assist Trophy however their attacks are weaker and it is easier to destroy them. If a Phazon Metroid hasn’t grabbed hold of a player after a few seconds they will phase out and then phase in to a different spot on the screen.
Soundtrack[]
- Metroid Prime 2: Echoes
- Metroid Prime 3: Corruption
