Character Info[]

The princess of the Mushroom Kingdom, Peach often fulfills the role of “damsel in distress” as her castle comes under attack from Bowser and his Koopa Troop. Despite being rescued so often by Mario & Luigi, Peach is a capable fighter and has fought alongside Mario on multiple occasions. There was even a time when Mario himself was captured and Peach had to set out to rescue him! Peach is attended to by many Toad servants with Toadsworth being one of her most trusted advisors and friends.

General Information[]

Entrance[]

Peach will twirl into the stage holding her parasol Perry as sparkling hearts swirl around her.

Kirby Hat[]

Kirby will wear Peach’s crown atop his head.

Taunts[]

Up Taunt: Peach will face towards the screen as she pulls out her parasol Perry and twirls him around in her hands.

Down Taunt: Peach will face the screen and lean in a tad as she winks at the player and points forward saying “Uh-huh!” As she does this a heart will pop up next to her head which fades away as the taunt ends.

Side Taunt: Peach will dance in place, swaying her dress around, as she sings, “La la la la laaaa laaaa!” in a tune reminiscent to “Ring Around the Rosie”

Victory Poses[]

  1. With the top of her parasol against the ground, Peach will slowly swing her parasol around on the ground before picking it up and lifting it over her shoulder as she spins about before finally resting it upon her shoulder. As she does this Peach will say “Aww, did I win?”
  2. Peach will dance in place, twirling about, with her arms raised up into the air with glittering hearts swirling around her. Peach will end the above with a sway of her arms and hips before resting one hand on her hip. As twirls Peach will say, “This is fun!”
  3. Peach will slowly walk forwards as she waves to an unseen audience before leaning down and back up blowing a huge kiss towards the audience which manifests as a large heart coming from her lips. As Peach blows the kiss she will say, “Peachy!”

Moveset[]

Standard Special[]

Toad: Peach will turn around and crouch down as she covers up her ears with a terrified expression on her face as one of her loyal retainer Toads appears in front of her to defend her. Toad’s arms spread out in front of him to defend the princess and if an attack hits him he will retaliate with a quick 6-hit attack as he releases his spores in front of him. This attack can deal moderate damage if all 6 hits make contact and if an opponent hits Peach from the opposite side then Toad will valiantly switch sides to defend her making this a counter move that works on either side of Peach. While this attack usually just summons a generic Toad, there is a 5% chance that Toadsworth will appear instead. With Toadsworth defending the princess, the amount of damage that this move does is increased.

Side Special[]

Peach Bomber: Butt forward, Peach will launch herself to the side as she travels a decent distance horizontally making this a great recovery move. If Peach makes contact with an opponent she’ll yell out a “Ha-cha!” before a large heart effect comes out of the impact and the opponent is sent flying away. This move is also particularly useful against shielding opponents.

Up Special[]

Peach Parasol: Peach will leap up into the air and open up her parasol, Perry. Thrive move can damage opponents as Peach is jumping into the air as the tip of her parasol hits them with an additional hit occurring when she opens her parasol and knocks them away. At this point Peach has great air control as she can glide to the left and right with her parasol open. You can have Peach close and open the parasol at will to drop faster and then resume gliding by pressing the special button.

Down Special[]

Vegetable: Peach will bend down and pluck out an item from the ground and hold it in her arms. This item is almost always a Vegetable with some different expression on its face, however there is a rare chance that Peach could pull out a different item instead. If Peach pulls out an item she’ll be able to throw it which causes it to act just like its actual Item counterpart in Smash. The Vegetables that Peach can pull out can be thrown as well and deal a variable amount of damage depending on the expression on their face. The damage and odds of each item appearing are as follows:

  • Vegetable (Grin) - 5% Damage - 59.84% Chance
  • Vegetable (Stare) - 6% Damage - 10.14% Chance
  • Vegetable (Closed Eyes) - 7% Damage - 8.62% Chance
  • Vegetable (Surprised) - 8% Damage - 5.17% Chance
  • Vegetable (Happy) - 9% Damage - 5.14% Chance
  • Vegetable (Wink) - 10% Damage - 6.89% Chance
  • Vegetable (Dot-Eyes) - 16% Damage - 1.72% Chance
  • Vegetable (Stitch-Face) - 24% Damage - 1.72% Chance
  • Mr. Saturn - Item - 0.60% Chance
  • Bob-omb - Item - 0.40% Chance
  • Fire Bar - Item - 0.20% Chance
  • Green Shell - Item - 0.10% Chance

Final Smash[]

Psych Bomb: A pink bomb with a heart on it, similar to a Bob-omb in design, will appear in Peach’s hand which she’ll toss forwards and lob in an arc. This bomb explodes on contact with anything and unleashes a pink explosion of hearts. If any opponent is caught in the blast they’ll be dragged into a cinematic. The cinematic will begin with the opponent(s) in a grassy field before the camera pans over to Peach who will now be holding two of the pink bombs. Peach will lob the two bombs (and then several more) at the opponent with each bomb exploding into a shower of pink hearts which damage the opponent. After a series of explosions Peach will lob one final bomb with a basketball-like toss which explodes like all the rest when it reaches the opponent and closes out the cinematic. When normal play is resumed the opponent will have take damage from each bomb and be sent flying away.

Extra Skill[]

Vibe: For this Extra Skill, Peach will swing the Vibe Scepter for minimal damage and use it to change her mood. By simply tapping the button Peach’s Mood will always shift in the order of Joy - Rage - Gloom - Calm - Normal however by holding down the Extra Skill input a wheel of options will appear which allows you to select which Mood you want by manually tilting the control stick in its direction. Each Mood only lasts for about 8 seconds and has a 15 second countdown individually for each Mood. Peach is also able to cancel a Mood at will by pressing the Extra Skill input again. Doing so will return her to her default state and activate the cooldown. Peach cannot immediately go from one Mood to another. She must always return to default first. The effect that each Mood has on Peach is the following.

  • Joy - While feeling Joyful, Peach can create a small damaging wind effect around her when floating through the air with her unique trait. Her float also lasts longer at 3.5 seconds. The chance of pulling the Happy Vegetable in her Down Special increases.
  • Rage - While feeling enraged, Peach will create a small damaging fire attack whenever she lands on the stage from either previously jumping or being launched into the air. The chance of pulling the Surprised Vegetable in her Down Special increases.
  • Gloom - While feeling gloomy, Peach’s running speed will be increased and she can deal minor damage to opponents simply by running into them. The chance of pulling the Closed Eyes Vegetable in her Down Special increases.
  • Calm - While feeling calm, Peach will passively heal 2% damage every second as long as the effect lasts. This effect can be canceled prematurely if Peach is damaged by an attack. The chance of pulling the Stare Vegetable in her Down Special increases.

Unique Traits[]

While in midair, Peach is capable of floating in place by holding the control stick up. Tilting the control stick left or right will allow Peach to effectively glide left and right until you either let go or run out of time. This effect only lasts for 2.5 seconds before Peach will begin falling normally.
