Stage Info[]

Hometown to Ness, Porky Minch, and several other characters, Onett is your starting location in Earthbound. The chaos all began when one day a meteorite crashed north of town causing both Ness and Porky to want to investigate. It's here that a strange bug from the future named Buzz Buzz informed Ness of a prophecy where he and three others would save the world.

Stage Layout[]

While it's layout has remained unchanged throughout it's history in Smash Bros., mechanically there have been some differences in how this stage works between each game. The roofs of the left and right buildings and the awning of the Drug Store can all still be fought on as well as the line of banners. Every once in a while a vehicle will come screaming by and speed down the street damaging anyone who is on the ground and in it's way. The cars will regain their different launching properties from Brawl that they lost in Smash 4.

Stage Hazards[]

Cars:[]

All four vehicles deal approximately the same amount of moderate damage to each other and have slight different properties in how they launch the players.

The Teal Coupe has neutral launch compared to the others while also having a greater chance to spin out after making contact with a player. The larger the character it hits the more likely it is to spin out. The Taxi Cab inflicts a greater amount of forward knock back to players. The Magenta Coupe will instead launch players backwards behind it. While the Runaway Five's Tour Bus will spike any character it hits. This spike even has the chance of KO'ing someone at high percentage. If the Tour Bus hits a grounded player it will send them flying upwards, while if it hits an airborne player it will send them crashing into the ground.
