Character Info[]

Nabbit is a thief who has a habit for stealing power up items and stuffing them in his giant bag. His face is obscured by a mask that looks oddly similar to Bowser Jr.'s leading some to believe that Nabbit stole it from him. Though he’s typically an antagonistic character due to his thieving tendencies (those poor Toad Houses), he’s somehow been convinced to work alongside Luigi. Strangely, despite his desire to collect power ups, he seems to refuse to use them possibly due to the fact that the power ups disappear on use. For his appearance in Super Smash Bros, Nabbit has been… convinced to use some power ups though it took Master Hand promising him an infinite supply of them.

General Information[]

Entrance[]

Nabbit will crawl out of his giant sack of items before hoisting it up on his back.

Kirby Hat[]

Kirby will wear a hat on top of his head which looks like the top of Nabbit’s head, complete with the bunny ears! Kirby will also carry a miniature version of Nabbit’s sack in one of his hands.

Taunts[]

Up Taunt: Nabbit will pull out either a Buzzy Shell, Dry Bones Shell, or Spiny Shell and put it on top of his head to try out a new look. After a moment, Nabbit will decide he doesn’t like it and will shake his head until the hat falls off his head and hits the ground.

Down Taunt: Nabbit will pull a random power up out of his bag and hold it aloft in one hand in a “tada!”-like manner.

Side Taunt: Nabbit will hop up and down like an excited rabbit as he points a finger forwards and laughs.

Victory Poses[]

  1. Three random power ups will be on the floor of the results screen as Nabbit runs in from offscreen and picks them up as he runs by and stuffs them in his bag.
  2. Nabbit will have his back to the camera as he rummages through his bag of tricks and will end up tossing out three random power ups before finally finding his prize, the Super Crown, which he will proudly hold above his head.
  3. Nabbit will fly into the results screen wearing the Wing Cap as he mimics how Mario flies in Super Mario 64 and ends in a pose mimicking the box art from the same game.

Moveset[]

Standard Special[]

Hammer Suit: As Nabbit activates the Hammer Suit power up the helm and shell of a Hammer Bro will appear on his body. By either rapidly tapping or holding down the special button Nabbit will begin to repeatedly throw out hammers in a short distance arc. Much like Bowser’s Fire Breath however, the more Nabbit throws hammers, the more tired he’ll get. As he continues to throw hammers without stopping, they’ll gradually be thrown a shorter and shorter distance until they’re just dropping at his feet. These hammers are not all tossed in the same arc either, there is some random variance at play here, but it’s not anything too crazy.

Side Special[]

Bee Mushroom: As Nabbit activates the Bee Mushroom power up, he’ll gain a hat and bee stinger similar to that of Bee Mario. Nabbit will then turn around and after a quick second he’ll zoom forwards in a straight line, stinger forward, to sting his opponents. While any part of Nabbit’s body can hit an opponent at this point, the stinger will deal a higher amount of damage. The player will have a chance to adjust their flight path before Nabbit takes off by tilting the control stick in any direction. To indicate what direction Nabbit will fly in an arrow will display next to Nabbit pointing in the direction that you are tilting the stick.

Up Special[]

Propeller Mushroom: As Nabbit activates the Propeller Mushroom power up, he’ll gain a helmet on his head with a propeller attached to it. Nabbit will then zip up into the air as the propeller lifts him upwards to a high height. When Nabbit has reached the height of the jump he’ll begin to slow drift down as he spins in place in the air much like how the Propeller Mushroom works in New Super Mario Bros. Wii. If Nabbit attacks, or is attacked, while he’s on the way down then the propeller will disappear and he will no longer gently drift down.

Down Special[]

Cloud Flower: As Nabbit activates the Cloud Flower power up, he’ll gain a hat on his head that looks like it's made out of fluffy clouds. By pressing the Down Special button Nabbit will create a small cloud platform at his feet. This can be down both on the ground and in mid-air. These platforms can be stood on by any fighter and are soft, allowing for fighters to pass through them as well. That said these platforms do not last for a long, only a couple seconds, and Nabbit must step on an actual platform before he can create a second cloud.

Final Smash[]

Power Up Rush: Upon activation, Nabbit will reach out in front of him and swing his sack forwards to try and trap an opponent inside of it. If successful, Nabbit will then rush off screen to whatever side is closest and carry away his victim to a cinematic. In this cinematic the opponent will be unceremoniously dumped out of the bag and onto the ground as Nabbit searches his bag vigorously for the items he needs. Nabbit will then pull out two very special power ups, the Double Cherry and the Super Star. Nabbit will first activate the Double Cherry which creates four clones of himself before activating the Super Star giving himself and all his clones the power of invincibility. Nabbit and his clones then rush at the opposing fighter from different directions and ram their bodies into them repeatedly. To end the Final Smash, all five Nabbits will rush together at once and collide into the opponent sending them flying away.

Extra Skill[]

Weird Mushroom: As Nabbit activates the Weird Mushroom, his body will contort to strangely lanky properties as he gets taller and thinner similar to Weird Mario in Super Mario Maker. In this… weird state, Nabbit’s jumping ability is increased however his running traction becomes lower making it difficult to run along platforms. This weird form of Nabbit will last for 10 seconds before Nabbit returns to normal.

Unique Traits[]

Nabbit is able to crawl along the stage.
