Stage Info[]
This stage is a sequel of sorts as it follows the traditions of the Mushroom Kingdom and Mushroom Kingdom II stages which are based off of the games Super Mario Bros. and Super Mario Bros. 2 respectively. As such this stage is built to reference elements of the game Super Mario Bros. 3, especially the level World 1-1.
Stage Design[]
Stage Layout[]
This is a grounded stage with walk offs to either side and a bottomless pit in the middle. The black boxes have a platform on the top of them, but you can run and jump in front of them much like the bolted platforms found in SMB3’s 1-1. These platforms and the blue platforms (representing cloud platforms) can be passed through with ease. The yellow boxes represent Question Mark Blocks and will spawn items when hit if Hazards are turned on.
Hazards[]
Fire Piranha Plant[]
The green block represents a Warp Pipe which can be used as a platform by the players, but every now and then a Fire Piranha Plant will rear its ugly head. The Fire Piranha Plant will take aim for a nearby fighter before spitting out three fireballs in their direction. Following this the Fire Piranha Plant will sink back into its Warp Pipe where it will stay until it re-emerges later on during the fight.
