Stage Info[]
The endpoint of Ninten’s journey. Mt. Itoi is a grueling mountain which featured many iconic events from Earthbound Beginnings. It’s here Ninten and Ana confessed their feelings for each other, they learned the seventh melody from EVE, and drove Giygas away from the planet with the song of the Eight Melodies.
Stage Design[]
Stage Layout[]
Mt. Itoi features two mid-air platforms off center from each other with the right platform higher up in the air than the left platform. The eye-catching feature of this stage though is the large pool of water that eternally sits at the bottom which removes a side of the stage you can KO opponents on. Atop this water though is a red canoe that can be used as a platform. This boat will move side to side through the water as if someone was controlling it so if you're going to fall in the water you better try and time it right so you land in the canoe.
Stage Hazards[]
Whirlpool:[]
At different points during the match the waters of the lake will twist and churn before a whirlpool opens up and drags the boat, anyone who fails to get off it in time, and anyone stuck in the water right into its middle. The boat will be destroyed by this whirlpool and players receive constant damage before being shot back up into the air. If a player has over 100% damage when they’ve become completely trapped by the whirlpool, instead of being damaged and shot back into the air they’ll be instantly KO’d so watch out.
EVE:[]
The boat will not return right away. In fact, it won’t appear again at all until a second whirlpool event occurs. In the meantime, the robot EVE will poke it’s head out of water serving as a much smaller platform than the boat. Don’t stand on EVE for too long though, as EVE has a habit of disappearing back under the water before reappearing at a different point in the lake. EVE and the canoe will never appear in the lake at the same time.
