Boss Info[]
Leader of the Happy Happy Cult and second owner of the Evil Mani Mani statue, Mr. Carpainter is led to believe that the key to happiness to paint everything in the world... blue. He teams up with Porky Minch in order to have Paula kidnapped so she can be made Mr. Carpainter's high priestess (or human sacrifice) but thankfully Ness is able to defeat him before this can happen and free Mr. Carpainter from the influence of the Evil Mani Mani statue.
Boss Fight Details[]
Mr. Carpainter, unlike most bosses, isn't stationary at all. In fact, he acts more like an Assist Trophy with the way he'll run about the stage trying to attack each of the players. You could even compare him to the actions of the Flying Man stage hazard on Magicant.
Attacks[]
Paint Attack[]
Pretty simple, Mr. Carpainter will perform a melee attack with his paintbrush and swipe forwards with it.
Paint Lob[]
Swinging his brush in an arc, Mr. Carpainter will lob out a medium range stream of blue paint in the direction he's facing.
Paint Charge[]
Waving his arms (and brush) like a wild man, Mr. Carpainter will run forwards damaging anyone that's in his path.
Crashing Boom Bang[]
Mr. Carpainter, in the midst of a temper tantrum, will let loose his most powerful attack. Although really, it's his only good attack. Bolts of lightning will shoot all across the centering from Mr. Carpainter himself. When this attack is in play your best bet is to get as far away from Mr. Carpainter as possible as you are less likely to be struck by his attack this way. This attack can be reflected back upon Mr. Carpainter for extra damage using a reflection attack like Mario's cape or the Franklin Badge item.
