An organic super-computer built by the Chozo, Mother Brain is capable of executing an unimaginable amount of complex operations and algorithms at once. Mother Brain was designed to oversee the planet Zebes’ numerous technological functions and security systems along with maintaining a vast archive of information and historical data. When the Spare Pirates invaded Zebes Mother Brain betrayed the Chozo and used her vast intellectual might to become the leader of the Space Pirates where she would greatly increase the effectiveness of the Space Pirates in their battles against the Galactic Federation and goals to invade and conquer any planets they could. There is some debate about who truly leads the Space Pirates between Mother Brain, Ridley, and a mysterious group known as High Command. Either way, Mother Brain is definitely in a high position of authority with the Space Pirates and is one of Samus’ most deadly foes.
Mode of Assistance[]
Mother Brain appears inside of her Control Capsule and blinks her eye a couple times almost as if she is waking up. A swarm of Rinka enemies will slowly fly about the screen dealing a small amount of damage to anyone that they run into. During this phase Mother Brain can turn in either direction to face the side of Mother Brain that has the most amount of enemy fighters. After a few moments Mother Brain will be seen charging up some energy centered around her eyes before the glass in her capsule shatters all around her and a large coned laser fires out from Mother Brain. This laser flashes rapidly through the colors of the rainbow and can stretch out past Battlefield. Mother Brain can whip the laser around to hit opponents and once someone is caught in the laser they’re pretty much stuck as they constantly take damage unless Mother Brain happens to move the laser and they fall out of it. Be careful when trying to use your shield against Mother Brain as attempting to do so will cause you to be instantly shield broken by the laser. Mother Brain can only be KO’d after the glass in her control capsule has been destroyed.
