Character Info[]
Mio was originally a soldier and off-seer for the Agnian army, but after a chance encounter with a unit from Keves, a Moebius, and Guernica Vandham, everything changed. Mio, Sena, and Taion from Agnus as well as Noah, Lanz, and Eunie from Keves joined forced to become Ouroboros in a mission to free their Agnus and Keves allies from their Flame Clocks and defeat the Moebius threat so that they can end the Endless Now and return the world(s) to the way they are supposed to be.
General Information[]
Entrance[]
Mio will land down on the stage and materialize her Dual Moonblades as she swings them in front of herself.
Kirby Hat[]
Kirby will have Mio’s hair and ears atop his head along with a miniature copy of her Dual Moonblades at his side.
Taunts[]
Up Taunt: Mio retrieves her flute and performs a short version of her Agnian Off-Seer composition. If you hold down the taunt input, then Mio will play this tune endlessly until she is either attacked or the input is let go.
Down Taunt: Manana will appear next to Mio and offer her a taste of Manana’s latest cooking endeavor. After trying the food, Mio will give an approving nod as the food was delicious. Manana will let out a cheer of joy and jump once before disappearing.
Side Taunt: Mio toss both of her Dual Moonblades up into the air one after the other and catch them both as they fall back down.
Victory Poses[]
- The camera will dynamically pan around Mio as she plays the opening notes of the off-seer tune “A Life Sent On” for the fighters she defeated on the battlefield. Mio will continue to play as the flute fades out and the music transitions into Mio’s victory theme.
- Mio will start out in her Ouroboros form as she dives down towards the ground from above. As she lands, Mio will cancel out of the interlink she has with Noah as the two separate and land next to each other. Following this Mio and Noah grab onto each other and do a quick dance in place as they laugh together.
- Mio will spin around herself and perform a couple slashes through the air with her Dual Moonblades. As she does this, Mio will shout “I *will* find a path that lets us all live.”
Moveset[]
Standard Special[]
Gemini Strike: Mio’s chakrams will enlarge as she throws one of them forward. The chakram will fly straight forward for about as far Link can throw his boomerang, but at a faster speed before turning back around and returning to Mio. After Mio has tossed a chakram she can immediately throw a second with an additional press of the special input. This second chakram will deal less damage than the first, but it can be aimed with the control stick and thrown in a different direction in a small cone in front of Mio.
Side Special[]
Crash Out: Mio will pull out Lanz’ oversized Shieldblade and rear back a bit before swinging the blade forward in a wide and tall arc before it slams down into the ground in front of her. This attack has a long startup, but it can pay off well if your opponent doesn’t move out of the way in time as this attack deals a heavy amount of damage and knockback. On top of that, this attack deals a heavy amount of damage to shields making it easy to stun opponents whose shields have been partly used up.
Up Special[]
Ether Cannon: An omnidirectional arrow will appear beside Mio as she wields Eunie’s Ether Cannon. After a quick moment, Mio will fire a shot of ether from the cannon in the direction the arrow is pointing. If Mio chooses to shoot downward, the ether will let her rise into the air. Mio can fire the Ether Cannon rapidly within a short time before the Ether Cannon temporarily runs out of “fuel” and can’t be used again for a couple seconds. This allows Mio to travel upwards about half the height of Snake’s Cypher with each shot being able to be angled slightly differently and affect Mio’s flight path.
Down Special[]
Arts Combo: Arts Combo is a combo move where the exact attack used changes based on where Mio is in the combo. Arts Combo consists of the arts Avenging Eagle, Big Impact, and Air Fang in that order.
Upon first activating the move, Mio will summon a small swarm of Taion’s Mondo in front of her that fly in a circle in a defensive manner. If an opponent hits the mondo with a melee attack they will get knocked back and have their attack strength lowered for a short time. An opponent must strike the Mondo and be countered by them in order for Mio to continue the combo, however Mio can choose to back off or use any other attack if she so chooses.
If Mio continues the combo then the next attack will be Big Impact. This has Mio use Sena’s Comet Mallet to swing the hammer at the opposing fighter in an uppercut-like manner which knocks them up into the air.
The final part of this combo has Mio pull out her own Dual Moonblade weapons as she jumps into the air with a spin and ends the combo with a rapid series of slash attacks as she rises into the air. A final slash will end up knocking Mio’s opponent away horizontally before Mio falls back down to the stage.
Final Smash[]
Death of 1,000 Cuts: Mio’s iris will erupt in Ouroboros flames as she draws her Dual Moonblades and makes a mad dash forwards. The first opponent that Mio runs into will be hit by both blades simultaneously as she uses her art Wide Slash to swing her blades in front of her. This horizontal slash will send Mio’s opponent flying off into a cinematic final smash. This cutscene will show the trapped fighter in the middle of a war-torn battlefield as Mio’s Ouroboros form stands far away from them. Mio will crouch down before spinning out into a roll and speeding towards her opponent as she slams into them, still rotating, to hit them several times. Mio will then bounce off of her opponent high into the air, still rotating, before falling back down towards the fighter with one leg extended which she slams into the fighter’s head to deal heavy damage. Mio will then jump back and cancel out of her Ouroboros form as she runs forward alongside Noah and throws out her two Dual Moonblades one after the other like she was using Gemini Strike. Noah will follow up with a piercing thrust with his Veiled Sword before stepping back as Noah Mio interlink once again, but this time into Noah’s Ouroboros form. Now that Noah is in charge he will float slightly in the air before dropping his massive sword and boarding it like it was a surfboard. Noah will then fly towards the opponent and spin into first horizontally before transitioning into a more vertical spin with repeated slashes that damage the opponent before Noah leaps back after one last hard-hitting slash.
If Mio’s opponent was at 100% damage or more at the end of the Final Smash then they will be instantly KO’d. If this occurs, then at the end of the cinematic cutscene the text “Conquered” with appropriate kanji will appear over the screen just like when defeating a Unique Monster in Xenoblade Chronicles 3.
Extra Skill[]
Unlimited Sword: Mio will hold up her Moonblade Rings and cross them over her chest as a faint aura surrounds her. For the next 8 seconds Mio’s movement speed and dodge speed will be slightly increased. Additionally, Mio’s dodge ability will not stall and get worse with repeated uses. As a trade-off, the damage Mio inflicts from her attacks will be slightly decreased. This Extra Skill will go on a 15 second cooldown before it can be used again.
Unique Traits[]
Mio is capable of wall jumping.
