Item Info[]
Despite its name, Lip’s Stick is not just an ordinary stick. Although it does belong to Lip. In truth, this item is actually a flower wand that Lip uses to conduct her fairy magics. In the Panel de Pon series Lip uses her wand to clear away blocks that she’s successfully matched together and turn them into garbage blocks that get dropped on her opponent’s puzzle.
Item Usage[]
As an item in Smash, Lip’s Stick works a bit differently than it does in the Panel de Pon series. Instead of transforming blocks into garbage, it is instead used as a battering item which can have the additional effect of causing a flower to sprout on the head of any fighter it hits. When used with a tilt or smash attack, Lip’s Stick will cause a small amount of magic dust, or perhaps pollen?, to fall out of the flower and its this dust that causes the flowers to sprout. Fighters that have a flower on their head will be inflicted with the Flower status effect which causes them to continue to take damage over time until the effect wears off. Continued hits with Lip’s Stick will cause the flower to grow in size and increase the amount of time that the fighter is affected by the Flower status.
Lip’s Stick only contains so much dust in it however and if it runs out then it cannot be used to apply the Flower status anymore. This dust is also strangely considered a projectile which allows it to be absorbed or even reflected back at its user.
