Assist Trophy Info[]
Though his relationship with the Kong family is unknown, Lanky Kong has shown himself to be a loyal ally... when he shows up that is. After being saved by Donkey Kong from Llama's Temple, Lanky used his lanky limbs to help the Kongs defeat King Krusha K. Rool and stop his doomsday machine from destroying the DK Isles.
Mode of Assistance[]
Lanky Kong operates in a bit of a new way for his Assist Trophy appearance. Lanky will swing about the stage using vines that seem to come out of nowhere and every once in a while will drop what appears to be a large cherry. A few seconds later the cherries will start to spark before exploding! The explosions are only about as big as Kirby, but they leave behind an obscuring red smoke that dissipates about 5 seconds later. This smoke is harmful and running through it can cause a small amount of damage to players. Additionally, other fighters who run into Lanky Kong as he's swinging about will be damaged and knocked away from Lanky.
