Assist Trophy Info[]
Klaptraps may be small when compared to other Kremlings, but their bear trap-like jaws are nothing to scoff at. They’re constantly chomping as they run around making attacks from the front rather foolish. Fortunately for the Kongs, Klaptraps are rather easy to jump over. In fact if one of the Kongs are riding their ostrich friend Expresso they’ll be able to just run right past Klaptraps without a worry.
Mode of Assistance[]
Almost as soon as Klaptrap appears from the Assist Trophy it will start running around the stage at a frenzied pace and even has limited jumping capabilities. If a Klaptrap meets a fighter it will leap at them and latch onto their legs by clamping its mouth around them. The player will take constant weak damage as long as the Klaptrap is biting onto them. The Klaptrap will only stay latched on for a short amount of time, which can be made even shorter if the fighter struggles against the Klaptrap and runs around a lot. After letting go the Klaptrap will resume its duties as an Assist Trophy and try to find another fighter to bite.
