Kartana is an Ultra Beast. This is to say that it's a Pokemon that emerged from an extradimensional rift, or Ultra Wormhole. Ultra Guardians may also typify it by its codename, UB-04 Blade. It is a Grass/Steel Pokemon that resembles a humanoid origami figure and, given its inspiration, it might not come as a surprise that it's one of the lightest Pokemon in existence. Don't let this fool you, though—every part of its body is incredibly sharp!
Attack Description[]
Kartana appears on-stage through an Ultra Wormhole, slashing towards opponents with shocking efficiency. In anime-esque fashion, Kartana will slash forward slightly, disappear, and reappear in front of opponents before slashing down on them with its two blade-like hands. If an opponent has their shield up, Kartana will simply slash through it, breaking it with one fell swoop before following up with a devastating twofer. Towards the end of its stay on the stage, Kartana will return towards a spot on the stage, leap into the air, and come crashing down with the power of a guillotine. Anyone caught in the midst of this downwards slash will be dealt such a powerful blow that the chances of them being KO'd above even just 20% is rather high. If an opponent with over 100% is hit by Guillotine, they'll be instantly KO'd. Luckily, the move is not the hardest to maneuver away from... Just keep running!
