Stage Info[]

There once was a mountain. A beautiful mountain. A mountain that to climbers seemed to stretch out for an eternity. That is until they made it to the mountain’s summit. Many climbers have set out to scale the Icicle Mountain, but only two have ever been remembered by history. Popo and Nana, the Ice Climbers, didn’t seek out fame nor fortune. Instead they scaled the mountain to retrieve their supply of vegetables that had been stolen from them by a Condor so that they could return them to their mountain village. The Condor isn’t the only creature that calls the mountain home however. Polar Bears and Topis can be found there as well, and much like the Condor, they share an appreciation for tasty vegetables.

Stage Layout[]

As a scrolling stage, Icicle Mountain moves at a constant pace as the screen scrolls from top to bottom. This means that as the players are fighting each other, they’ll also have to take the time to jump up from platform to platform to navigate the Icicle Mountain. If players find themselves stuck on a platform that’s about to disappear below the blast zones they’ll end up being KO’d! Icicle Mountain can be a bit treacherous however. Some of its platforms are covered in ice making them slippery and difficult to run across. While other platforms can be attacked and broken making it harder for other players to navigate their way up the mountain. Icicle Mountain’s scrolling is endless and once it reaches what would be considered it’s “top”, the bottom starting area of the stage will appear above it. From here the cycle continues endlessly.
