Item Info[]

Gyroids are considered pieces of furniture in the Animal Crossing world and can be turned on or off by whoever walks by them. When on, they’ll make the sounds of different musical instruments and seem to dance around a bit in place. Despite being classified as furniture, you can sometimes find Gyroids that have been buried underground and there are even rumors of a sentient Gyroid that runs an auction house somewhere.

Item Usage[]

When a Gyroid lands on the stage you can pick it up and throw it in another place or just drop it gently back to where you found it. When being carried it’s considered a heavy item much like a Crate or Barrel as well as when thrown which makes its throwing distance rather short. After being thrown the Gyroid activates so to speak and will start its dancing motions and sounds of music. During this time if a player comes into melee range of the Gyroid its dancing motions can hurt them for a small amount of damage. Minor attacks can turn on or off the Gyroid without having to pick it up to throw it, however strong attacks (like those that can launch Pac-Man’s fire hydrant) can send the Gyroid flying away with similar properties to the fire hydrant.
