Stage Info[]
Green Greens is a lush field of green grassland, as its name would suggest, and is a well known area of Dream Land. It also contains a small lake where Poppy Bros. Sr. is known to hangout. Other local inhabitants include Waddle Dees, Cappys, Bronto Burts, Grizzos, and Poppy Bros. Jrs. During one of Kirby’s earliest adventures he encountered Whispy Woods here and had to fight the apple-flinging tree in order to recover one of the Sparkling Stars.
Stage Layout[]
Green Greens features three main platforms with one medium-sized one in the middle and two smaller ones off to the left and right which are also slightly lower in the air than the middle platform. Blocks will typically fall and appear in the gaps between the three platforms making it harder to move between them, but more on that in the hazards. Two soft platforms can also be found floating above the left and right sides of the main platform which puts them about even with Whispy Woods’ branches who hangs out in the background.
Stage Hazards[]
Whispy Woods[]
Whispy Woods is more dangerous here than he is on the older Dream Land stage. Like on Dream Land, Whispy Woods will occasionally face one side of the screen (whichever has the most fighters, random if it's a tie) and will begin to blow air in that direction. Compared to Dream Land the wind is quite a bit stronger and is now capable of blowing fighters off of the edges of platforms as well as Items, Pokemon, and Assist Trophies. Whispy Woods has also learned a new trick where he will shake his branches and cause several Apples to drop onto the main platform. Some of these Apples can be picked up and eaten to restore health while others can be picked up and thrown as projectiles. There is no way to know which Apple is which until you try to interact with them.
Blocks[]
In the two gaps between the three islands blocks will appear and stack up to serve as a barrier between the islands. There is enough room in the gaps for three columns of blocks to appear and each column will cap out at having 5 blocks in it. Most blocks are normal blocks and can be attacked and destroyed fairly easily. However some blocks are Bomb Blocks and are noted appropriately with a bomb icon. These blocks will explode when attacked and cause damage in an aoe around them, likely destroying more blocks! Blocks will not start immediately falling again just because a block has been destroyed. If you count the blocks from 1-5 starting from the bottom, then the fifth block has to be destroyed before anymore will begin to fall on that column and they will just stack up again on top making it so that you could have gaps in between or below.
