Stage Info[]
Home of the Officer's Academy and the Holy Church of Seiros, Garreg Mach Monastery is a central location on the continent of Fodlan. It is here where the children of the Adrestian Empire, the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus, and the Leicester Alliance train in art of combat and more to serve their countries.
Stage Layout[]
It’s a large place, so it would operate similar to Skyloft or Isle Delfino; a floating platform that travels through the air and touches down at various points of interest. Some of the places the platform could land around the monastery are:
- In front of the Main Gate. The Gatekeeper would stand guard on the right side, of course.
- The Marketplace, such as fighting on top of the Blacksmith and Armoury tents. They might have to be moved closer together to fit everything in.
- In the Garden. You can walk through or stand on top of the Amiibo Gazebo.
- The Greenhouse. The roof is separated into three sections, with the middle built higher. The windmill makes for a nice sight.
- The Fishing Pond when viewed from the left side lets fighters can fight on the dock or in the water. Apologies to anyone who just wanted to fish peacefully.
- The Stables. More specifically, the roof of the stables. Hopefully the horses don’t mind.
- On top of the Sauna. Lots of steam is coming from inside, but it shouldn’t obstruct the fighters views.
- The bridge connecting to the Cathedral. Unlike some other bridges in Smash, this one won’t blow up.
- The Star Terrance on the third floor. The view is great, but be careful not to fall!
Riding through the air would be a neat spectacle to see Garreg Mach from multiple aerial views, with Pegasi and Wyverns also making the rounds. Landing at the points of interest would make for some great cameo opportunities from some students. Makes sense that they’d want to spectate; Smash is much more exciting than the 1-on-1 tournaments they’re used to.
