Character Info[]

Ezio was just like any other teenage nobleman, until one day when his father and brothers were executed in a public hanging and he and his mother and sister were forced to flee their home. Ezio vowed he would get vengeance. He moved in with his uncle and found out about his assassin heritage. He started his training and learned the culprits of his family's demise and started to take them out one by one. He started to rebuild the brotherhood and learn more about the assassins history.

General Information[]

Entrance[]

Ezio will appear from behind the platforms as he climbs up on them from behind and then leaps onto the stage.

Kirby Hat[]

Kirby will wear Ezio’s hood over his body.

Taunts[]

Up Taunt: The cry of an eagle will be heard as Ezio extends out one arm and an eagle perches onto it. The eagle sticks around for a quick second before flying off.

Down Taunt: Ezio will pull out the Apple of Eden and toss it gently into the air a couple times before putting it back away in his cloak.

Side Taunt: Looking down at his hands, Ezio will cause his hidden blades to quickly shoot out before retracting them.

Victory Poses[]

  1. Ezio will be seen kneeling down on the ground towards the camera and say “Rest in Peace” in Latin.
  2. Ezio will be seen walking through the Animus as he comes in the background. The lights from the Animus will flash a couple times as Ezio’s form is replaced by that of Desmond Miles before flashing back to Ezio and ending with him holds his arms out to his side like the artwork from the box art for Assassin’s Creed II.
  3. A hay wagon will be seen on screen with nothing else around. Suddenly an eagle’s cry is heard as Ezio falls face first into the wagon. A quick second later will see Ezio poke his head out of hay and lean his arm out onto the edge of the wagon with a very smug smirk on his face.

Moveset[]

Standard Special[]

Throwing Knives: With a tap of the special button Ezio will quickly toss one of his throwing knives forward. Holding down the button however will allow Ezio to aim his throwing just a bit by tilting the control stick up or down. The knives. The knives come out quickly and travel at a fast speed, though the damage and knockback that they deliver is fairly small.

Side Special[]

Hidden Lunge: Ezio will crouch down low and extend his hidden blade before lunging forward a short distance to try and stab at one of his opponents. If this move makes contact it will deal a fair amount of damage and knockback. A true Ezio player however will attempt to use this move on opponents who have their backs turned to Ezio. If this move strikes an opponent from behind not only will the damage from the strike be increased, but the camera will seem to zoom in on the hit just ever so slightly, similar to when landing Ridley’s Skewer attack, as the opponent falls into a crumpled state.

Up Special[]

Da Vinci's Ascension: With a modified version of Leonardo da Vinci’s flying machine strapped to his back, Ezio will shoot off into the air as he spirals around himself to damage any enemies that are next to him similar to Fox’s Fire Fox attack. At the end of the attack the wings of the flying machine will unfurl for one final hit in the attack as they damage anyone to the left and right of Ezio and knock them away. Also like the Fire Fox move, you can alter the exact direction that this move launches Ezio in by tilting the control stick when the move has just begun, even straight down!

Down Special[]

Counter & Loot: For this move Ezio will be seen holding up his sword in front of himself as he braces himself for an attack. If no attack comes, then Ezio just resumes his normal battle pose. However if he is struck by an opponent’s melee hit, Ezio will swing back at them with his sword before delivering a hefty kick to their gut and knocking them away. If the opponent has an item on them and Ezio does not, then before he kicks the fighter away he will swipe at them with his hand and steal the item away from them and take it for himself.

Final Smash[]

Glitch in the Animus: With his hidden blade extended Ezio will dash out across the screen as he seeks out his prey. If Ezio is able to strike another fighter with this attack he will pull them into a cinematic cutscene where they find themselves in the city of Florence, Italy as put together by the Animus. The scene will shift towards Ezio walking towards them as the Animus appears to glitch out and more legendary assassins appear next to Ezio and walk with him. This Final Smash features the likes of Altair, Bayek, Kassandra, Connor & Edward Kenway, and Eivor all together. Each assassin will attack the fighter with one of their signature weapons, such as Altair with his sword, before Ezio rushes in for one final strike and uses his hidden blade to perform an assassination. If the opponent reached over 100% damage with this Final Smash then Ezio’s final strike will be enough to KO them instantly.

Extra Skill[]

Call to Arms: As Ezio was a huge part in training the next generation of assassins, it’s only fitting that they answer his call to battle in Smash. With this extra Skill Ezio will command one of his fellow assassins to appear in front of him and unleash an attack. The assassins that appear have generic appearances with their faces obscured and can attack in one of three ways. When initiating this Extra Skill there is a short window of time where Ezio can make a directional input to influence what kind of attack occurs.

No Input - If no input is made then the assassin will reveal their hidden gun and use it to fire a small, near-instantaneous, projectile attack that stretches across the map. The damage is low, but it has high priority and is great as an interrupt.

Up Input - If the control stick is tilted up then the assassin will be wielding a falchion. The assassin will use this falchion to quickly make a downward slash in front of them and then follow up by swinging their blade upwards. Both slashes naturally deal damage and the second hit can send opponents up straight into the air.

Down Input - If the control stick is tilted down then the assassin will be holding onto a smoke bomb. The assassin will give the smoke bomb a short underhand toss and once it hits the ground it will roll forward a short distance. Either after it finishes rolling or on contact with an obstacle/fighter the smoke bomb will explode and release a small burst of smoke where it blew up. Fighters who are caught in the blast are damaged, however instead of being sent flying they are instead stunned for a short time and open to being attacked.

Unique Traits[]

Ezio is able to both Wall Jump and Wall Cling. Ezio also has the ability to Wall Climb where if he is clinging to a wall he can do one jump straight up taking him up the wall a short distance.
