A Pokemon in the shape of a ball and sometimes confused for a random Poke Ball left behind in the wilds. Despite their large grin, Electrodes are known to explode at the slightest provocation which can knockout nearby Pokemon and Trainers. Electrodes are attracted to electricity and have caused city-wide blackouts on more than one occasion when a multitude of them gathered at power plants. Ancient texts reveal that in the Sinnoh region’s past there was an Electrode that was worshiped as a “Lord” and it’s said that it had a different appearance as well.
Attack Description[]
When Electrode appears on the stage its grin will almost appear to be a bit sinister as it begins to glow slightly yellow, getting darker over time, before it explodes. When it explodes, anything within its range that can take damage, including Electrode’s summoner, will take a high amount of damage and be sent flying to the far corners of the stage. Electrode can be picked up like an item by any Fighter before it has a chance to explode which slows down its timer slightly. This allows Fighters to toss Electrode either out of there way or towards an opponent who is trying to get away. There is also a 10% chance that when Electrode would explode that it will just fail to do so with a visual of it tilting over with a sad look on its face. Following that, there is a 25% chance of Electrode righting itself and exploding immediately which can catch Fighters off guard who thought it was safe to approach.
