The Dragoon is one of two Legendary Air Ride Machines that Kirby can assemble in the City Trial. The pieces of the Dragoon must be found and collected by one player and when this has occurred the Dragoon will be assembled and can be ridden by Kirby for the remainder of the City Trial and the following minigame. The Dragoon boasts an amazing performance with its stats and has the best flight abilities of all the Air Machines in the game. The Dragoon can also be unlocked in the game’s Free Run mode, but only after the player has reached 1,000 feet in High Jump, glided 1,300 feet in Air Glider, and flown through 5 of the floating rings in a single City Trial match.
Item Usage[]
Like in the City Trial, the Dragoon appears as three pieces which can spawn during the battle. When a player grabs one of the pieces an imagine of it will be displayed next to their damage percent. Players can lose the Dragoon pieces either by being hit by a strong attack or after being KO’d the pieces can fall out of their body after they respawn above the stage. Once a player has grabbed all three pieces of the Dragoon it will be immediately put together as they fly off into the foreground and a reticle appears on the screen. The player will then have a few seconds to move the reticle and press the attack button to dash straight forwards and deal upwards of 40% damage to who or whatever they hit. If the attack button is not pressed then the Dragoon will just zoom forwards wherever the reticle last was.
During team battles if pieces of the Dragoon are split amongst teammates, then whoever grabbed the last piece of the Dragoon will be the one to assemble and use it. Once the Dragoon has been assembled and used by a fighter, no pieces of the Dragoon will spawn again for the remainder of the match.
