Dimitri is the prince and, later, king of the Holy Kingdom of Faerghus. In the Officers Academy, Dimitri leads the Blue Lions, who come together 5 years after their training at the Academy under two primary goals: to collaborate with Claude to defend the Church of Seiros against the onslaught of Edelgard and Those Who Slither in the Dark, and working to reunite Dimitri's fractured kingdom. Driven mad by Faerghus' rule in the Tragedy of Duscur, he saves and befriends a Duscurian who later becomes his vassal, Dedue. He is primarily a lance user and wields the legendary spear, Areadbhar.

Dimitri (War)
Dimitri first appears on stage in his Officers Academy uniform. In this form, he will move about the stage almost as a legitimate playable character would, fluidly walking, running, and jumping in response to other players' actions. He has an iron lance and a javelin in his inventory and will use both to rack up combos, throwing his javelin to get foes from a distance while the iron lance is used for more up-close fighting techniques. Before he's ready to leave, Dimitri will be surrounded in a shining magic energy, moments later class-changing into his Great Lord form. In his war outfit, he will wield Areadbhar, slashing it through opponents' unlucky chests with the "Atrocity" Combat Art just once with formidable aplomb. A sweeping, blue wind follows Dimitri's lance as he twirls it hungrily towards opponents. Watch out, or you may just go flying! Of course, you can also sending Dimitri flying; it's a symbiotic relationship.
