The dried buds of a Deku Baba. While they are most commonly found by killing Deku Babas, they can also be found by breaking jars or cutting grass. Sometimes you can even find them being sold. When thrown, Deku Nuts will cause a stunning flash which can stun nearby enemies and leave them open to attack.
Item Usage[]
When thrown in Smash, Deku Nuts will burst at first contact with anything. The Deku Nut will cause a small explosive flash and any character on the ground in its range will become damaged, stunned, and open to being attacked. If a character was moving before getting stunned they will slide across the stage in their stunned state. Opponents in the air are not stunned, but are sent flying upwards instead.
A Deku Nut’s explosive flash can also be triggered by attacking it on the ground, or just letting it sit on the ground long enough where it will start to shake before exploding.
