Cohozuna is a massive creature known as a King Salmonid. They resemble giant obese Cohocks and have been described as unfathomably terrifying. Cohozunas are known to sleep at the bottom of the sea, but will emerge from their slumber when they smell Inklings invading their territory. Cohozunas will target whatever Inkling (or Octoling) is nearest to them so one strategy is to have someone with a melee weapon serve as a distraction while their allies strike at the Cohozuna with Egg Cannons.

Cohozuna will be represented by a massive Freddi Fish who seems to be under the effect of two Super Mushrooms at once, which should be possible! Freddi Fish will also have increased resistance to knockback making it difficult to KO them through standard means. Whenever Freddi Fish jumps and lands on the stage they will create a small shockwave to ripple along the ground a short distance from where they landed to help damage and push back fighters who are getting too close. Cracker Launcher items will spawn at increased frequency along with a few other projectile items such as the Splat Brella, Super Scope, and Steel Diver. Freddi Fish will have 200 HP during this Spirit Battle while the player will only have 100 HP.
