If you knock her down, she's a full meal! Cloud N. Candy is a sweet and tasty cloud of cotton candy that, for some reason or another, antagonizes the Yoshis on their quest to save Baby Mario from Baby Bowser's clutches.
Mode of Assistance[]
Cloud N. Candy appears fairly large at first, standing about as tall as two Bowsers before people begin taking her down a few sizes. She will sluggishly leap from one space to another, damaging opponents with greater effect in this larger form while also being more difficult to avoid. The more she is hit, the smaller she will become, breaking off pieces of her body for people to eat along the way, producing the same effects that consuming Food would if you eat her. As she becomes smaller, she becomes lither, prancing and leaping across the stage with more effect, but dishing out less damage as a result of this lighter form. Eventually, Cloud N. Candy can be totally dispersed of, becoming about the size of a Mite that can be squashed with any attack. If you're playing as a character like Kirby, you can more easily dispatch of Cloud N. Candy than most just by holding the special attack button near her! And if you're playing as Yoshi, cool beans; you can replicate the boss battle from Yoshi's Story nearly 1:1! While Cloud N. Candy won't damage the one who summoned her, she can still move them to and fro by bouncing into them. She's something of a hazard to everyone, one way or another. More pieces will of candy will break off of her in her larger form, then gradually be brought down to one or two drops per every devolution after achieving a certain small stature.
