Enemy Info[]
A human exposed to the Cordyceps brain infection for a prolonged period of time. Clickers are defined by the fungal protrusions growing from their heads. Megaphone-esque, these mantles give the Clickers a primitive form of echolocation at the expense of their eyes. At this point, the infected's humanity has nearly entirely faded, and the fungal creature that has taken their place holds no qualms with assaulting their prey.
Fight Pattern[]
Clickers can be seen skulking slowly through confined areas, or even standing idly by, scratching at their headplates. When a fighter does just about anything but move at a very slow pace, the Clicker will spot them by means of echolocation that becomes active when they are within five Kirbys of the infected. The Clicker will then become aggressive, even shoving items like Crates out of their way or attacking other enemies if need be while on their one track-minded quest to attack the fighter. They are good runners, moving at roughly Marth's pace when provoked. After several moments of being unable to spot an opponent, the Clicker will gradually step back towards its original position until provoked again.
Attacks[]
Bite[]
The Clicker's go-to means of attack is to grab ahold of their prey, grappling them for a few moments ala ReDead. This causes minor, persistent damage for up to two seconds before the Clicker digs into their foe, biting them. Their bite deals decent damage and knockback, freeing the fighter from their grasp once they have been bitten. Their bites are poisonous and will inhibit fighters with a poison effect for upwards of five seconds. It may also slow them down for a brief period of time.
