Chunky Kong is the older brother of Kiddy Kong, and the largest member of the DK Crew weighing in at 2000 pounds compared to Donkey Kong’s 800 pounds. Chunky is a gentle giant of a Kong, as despite his size and strength he’s rather sweet and gentle, preferring not to fight. Chunky Kong will even try to encourage the player to choose a different Kong, such as Tiny Kong, to play as instead of him and will look relieved if he’s not chosen. Despite all this, Chunky Kong will fight if he has to and can use the Pineapple Launcher to snipe enemies from a distance as well as play the triangle to immediately destroy all enemies in the area.

When Chunky Kong arrives he’ll look around him with some concern as he was not expecting to appear in the middle of a battlefield. Chunky Kong will do his best to muster up his courage before slamming his hands down on the ground in front of him. The screen will rumble slightly before 4-10 Banana Peels fall down on the stage from above. These Banana Peels act just like how the item does, allowing for fighters to pick them up and throw them or trip if they run over one. After the Banana Peels drop, Chunky Kong will pull out his triangle and give it one ring before disappearing from the stage.
