Item Info[]

In Mario Party, Chomp Calls can be used by players to summon four Chain Chomps to surround the Party Board host and chase them away. This causes the host to take the Star with them and move it to a different place on the board. Despite the Lucky Lamp being used to do this in Mario Party 3, when Mario Party Superstars was released featuring fan-favorite boards from the original three Mario Party games, the Chomp Call was brought back instead of reusing the Lucky Lamp.

Item Usage[]

When the Chomp Call is picked up it’s held in hand until it's ready to be used. When the neutral attack button is pressed next, the character will bring the Chomp Call up to their lips and blow on it like the whistle that it is. At this point the whistle will break and the player is free to go back to doing whatever they wish. A moment later a small shadow appears at the place where the player was standing when they blew on the Chomp Call and over the next couple seconds that shadow will grow and grow until its about the size of Snorlax. When the shadow is at its maximum size a Yoshi’s Island-styled Chain Chomp will come flying down from the top of the screen and fall straight through the stage centered on its shadow. This Chain Chomp deals out a heavy amount of damage to anyone and anything that was in its path. Think of it like an Orbital Strike Chain Chomp.
