Chespin is one of three Starter Pokemon given away by Professor Sycamore to new trainers in the Kalos region alongside Fennekin and Froakie. Known as the Spiny Nut Pokemon, Chespin’s head and back are covered in a layer of wood, with a set of soft quills atop his head. The wooden shell is sturdy and provides Chespin with protection from blunt force while the quills can be hardened and used to break rocks apart.
Attack Description[]
Chespin attack by throwing up an armful of seeds that spread out above and around him before exploding into a multitude of small explosions. Chespin will repeat this attack, throwing seeds and exploding them, a total of four times before disappearing. With each set of explosions the seeds explode in slightly different positions to create a somewhat less predictable attack. That said, each time Chespin is summoned the explosion patterns occur in the same order.
