Enemy Info[]

Chain Chomps are living and breathing ball-and-chains with terrifying large teeth. They’re almost doglike in nature and will jump and bark at whatever catches their attention. Most Chain Chomps are chained to a stake and can only attack whatever is in range of them. Some Chain Chomps are able to struggle against their chains and free themselves, allowing them to pursue their prey as much as they want.

Fight Pattern[]

Chain Chomps will remain chained in place to a point on the map with a large wooden stake holding them there. If fighters enter their range then the Chain Chomp will lunge towards them for a biting attack. This attack can be baited allowing Fighters to sneak past the Chain Chomp’s attacks. Chain Chomps cannot be defeated through normal means and can only be beaten by sneaking up to their wooden stake and attacking it. If the wooden stake takes enough damage the Chain Chomp will be free of its tyranny and will run away leaving behind some prizes for the fighter.

Attacks[]

Lunging Bite[]

When the Chain Chomp lunges it will gnash its massive teeth to try and bite at fighters. Luckily this attack can be baited allowing Fighters to sneak past. This is because the Chain Chomp will lock onto the fighter’s position at the start of the lunge and zoom straight for that position and hang there in the air for a few moments. Following that the Chain Chomp must return to its stake before it can lunge again.
