Pokemon Info[]

An artificial Pokemon created in Hoenn and currently being studied by the Weather Institute. Castforms have a very unique property that lets them change form based on whatever the surrounding weather is. In their base form they are Normal-typed, but in harsh sunlight they become Fire-type. Additionally in heavy rainfall Castform will become Water-type and when it's snowing or hailing then Castform will become Ice-type.

Attack Description[]

Shortly after his arrival and before his attack begins Castform will change into one of his three forms; Sunny Form, Rainy Form, or Snowy Form. Each one of these forms will cause a different attack to affect the stage and the players. Castform will only make one of these attacks before disappearing.

Sunny Form: After shifting to its Sunny Form, Castform will initiate its Sunny Day attack causing a great bright light to appear above the stage for a short time. While Sunny Day is in effect all players in the match will slowly have their damaged healed over time.

Rainy Form: After shifting to its Rainy Form, Castform will initiate its Rain Dance attack causing an ugly storm cloud to appear up above the stage and rain down across the whole stage. This rain doesn't hit the players for damage, push them around or affect them directly at all. It does make a nice pitter-patter sound though. The effect this rain causes however is to make the stage slippery and enable it so that all players can trip all over the stage for as long as the rain lasts. The tripping is more common than it was in Brawl but without the rain tripping is non-existent.

Snowy Form: After shifting to its Snowy Form, Castform will initiate its Hail attack causing a snow cloud to appear up above the stage and bring down hail across the whole stage. This hail will come down at an angle and deal constant damage to any player that isn't taking cover from the Hail.
