Assist Trophy Info[]
Finishing a Type B game in the NES version of Tetris congratulates players as some of Nintendo's finest play a rousing rendition of the French operatic composition, "The Habenera", from Carmen. You've got Mario and Luigi dancing a convincing Russian jig as Peach claps along, Link on flute, Bowser on the accordion, Donkey Kong on the marching drum, Pit on violin, and even Samus on cello!
Mode of Assistance[]
All eight characters who appeared during the original Carmen ensemble in Tetris appear here in all of their 8-bit glory. They will make their way across the stage, marching strikingly quickly—akin to the pace of a Ghost in Pac-Maze as it runs away from a Power Pellet user. Their march will bring them into direct contact with the nearest opponent as they snake through the stage, honing-in constantly on whoever is nearest and battering them in celebratory fashion. They can be KO'd with a well-timed Smash attack, but they're speedy buggers and can rack up some decent, persistent damage before they're done. During their onslaught, 8-bit fireworks will shoot off in the background and "The Habanera" will play over the stage track in its original Tetris form, too.
