These small capsules are used to contain items for fighters to use in battle. Breaking the capsules open will reveal whatever they were storing which fighters can then pick up and activate. Though these capsules are an original Smash item, they are based on the capsules found in real world Gashapon machines which are popular in Japan.
Item Usage[]
Capsules are small container items which will release another item when they are opened. This is done by either attacking the Capsule or picking it up and throwing it. Capsules can also be used to damage another fighter by throwing them at another fighter. Regardless of the Capsule’s size, items of any size can appear out of the Capsule. The only kind of items that cannot appear out of a Capsule are other container items like Crates and Party Balls. Capsules also have about a 12.5% chance to explode instead of releasing an item damaging anything in their radius. The odds of this explosion will greatly increase if all valid items that the Capsule can drop have been turned off. In this scenario, the Capsule will either explode or just open up to reveal nothing was inside of them.
