Stage Info[]

Candy Land is a world made up of candy and filled with candy people. Cookies, Ice Cream, Gummy Bears, Jawbreakers, you name it! Candy Land is hidden away from the “real” world and seems to live inside of a bag of gummy candy. Burrito Bison first encountered this world while shopping when the bag of candy opened up and sucked him inside! After Burrito Bison escaped and went back to continue shopping, he realized that he left his wallet inside Candy Land and had to go back in to retrieve it. Sometime later, the Gummies were fed up with Burrito Bison smashing them so they launched an invasion of his town. Thankfully Burrito Bison and his two friends Pineapple Spank and El Pollo were around to beat back the invading Gummies.

Stage Design[]

Stage Layout[]

Candy Land is a grounded stage which features two buildings on the left and right. Fighters can battle it out in front of these buildings as well as jump up on top of them. Each building is composed of two platforms, one at the very top and one in the middle. The middle platform is designed to look like a layer of chocolate and almost gives us the impression that the second half of the building was just stacked on top of the first.

Hazards[]

Running Gummies[]

While the ground can be fought on, it’s not exactly safe. Throughout the fight there will sometimes be a stampede of Gummies that rushes across the ground going from left to right. While these Gummies can be attacked and destroyed pretty easily, if you aren’t making an attack against them and they end up hitting you’ll take damage and end up getting knocked up into the air. Truly it's wiser to just stay out of their way and fight on the buildings until they pass through. The only warning sign you’ll have that the Gummies are on their way is the little sound of stampeding feet.

Burrito Bison[]

Oh, what’s this? The buildings aren’t completely safe to fight on either? Damn. Much like how the Gummies can cause trouble for those fighting on the ground, Burrito Bison himself can come barrelling through to make life difficult for those on the buildings, air, or on the ground as well! With a simple “Ding! Ding!” of a bell to warn you of his approach, Burrito Bison will come bouncing through the stage much like he does in the Burrito Bison games. Burrito Bison will slam into the ground and bounce back up as he continues to move forward. If Burrito Bison hits a fighter, platform, or an item like a Crate he’ll bounce back up into the air from that point altering his trajectory! Pineapple Spank and El Pollo can also appear in this hazard, but they operate in the same way as Burrito Bison. If Burrito Bison is fighting on the stage then he won’t appear during this hazard, only Pineapple Spank and El Pollo will.

Pinata[]

Oh look everyone! There’s a pinata flying lazily through the sky! I bet if you attack it and beat it up real good it will drop wonderful prizes to reward you for your efforts. Indeed, if you attack the Pinata it will break apart and drop items not unlike a Party Ball or Sandbag. Pinatas can have a range of items hidden inside but they will always drop at least one item that’s considered to be rather powerful such as a Master Ball or Devil Axe.
