A Legendary Pokemon who was once revered as a king in Ancient Galar. Calyrex was known to be merciful and would provide both blessings and healing to its people. With its great powers it could even bring life to plants and even heal hearts. In modern Galar however Calyrex has lost a great deal of its power as the people no longer believe in its existence. Even Calyrex itself cannot recall which Pokemon was once its great steed between Glastrier and Spectrier.
Attack Description[]
When Calyrex pops out of a Pokemon it won’t be alone as it will be riding atop either Glastrier or Spectrier chosen at random. In this form Calyrex will be in either its Ice Rider or Shadow Ride form respectively as it prepares its signature move in that form.
When Ice Rider Calyrex is on the field it will create a large lance of ice in its hand before throwing it at one of your opponents at great speed. This move is fast and deadly with great KO potential as it deals a heavy amount of damage and knockback to anyone that gets hit by it. The closer you are to Calyrex when you are hit by its spear, the greater the damage you will receive.
When Shadow Rider Calyrex is on the field it will create a large pool of dark energy below it as small ghostly wisps begin to appear from the pool. Suddenly a large dome of ghost-like energy will surround Calyrex and trap any opponents that were in its aoe as they take constant damage from the barrage of spirits that are running wild in the dome. Each ghost deals a small amount of damage, but when the attack ends the dome will drop and any opponents who were caught inside (or fell inside during the attack) will be launched out with force. Unlike most aoe moves, players can avoid this one by simply being under Calyrex since this attack only creates a dome of energy around him as opposed to a sphere.
