Boss Info[]
Bwario and Bwaluigi are—you guessed it—Rabbid versions of Wario and Waluigi! In a dash of irony, though, these wacky cosplaying bunnies have swapped some of their body proportions with the dastardly plumbers—Bwario stands lean, and Bwaluigi is a bulky beast. Their actions are akin to standard enemies in Mario + Rabbids: Kingdom Battle—the Valkyrie and Smasher, respectively—though, these guys are much tougher... and, again, they look like Wario and Waluigi! Instantly cooler.
Boss Fight Details[]
Fighters take Bwario and Bwaluigi on the Final Destination iteration of Norfair. Bwario will flee behind Bwaluigi as the counter turns from one to zero, prepping his gatling gun as Bwaluigi pounds his fists together, ready to go. Despite his size, Bwaluigi is a fairly capable mover, dashing at about the same rate as Ganondorf. Bwario is much more lethe, but also a glass cannon. Whereas Bwaluigi acts more like a standard boss and cannot be KO'd until he hits no stamina, Bwario acts more like a standard character CPU and can be knocked around and prematurely KO'd. Bwaluigi will dash towards opponents, rushing them down with melee attacks, whereas Bwario will constantly be moving to the furthest platform away from the player, aiming his gun at them.
Attacks[]
Gatling Gun[]
Bwario's sole means of attack is by means of his gatling gun, made out of green pipes. Once he feels he's in a safe position, he will carefully aim the gun towards his opponent. The player can see a faint yellow light that represents Bwario's reticle as the Rabbid is aiming his shot. A split second later, and Bwario will shoot multiple rounds in a row. If one hit lands, chances are several more will in rapid succession. The shots themselves don't deal a lot of damage, but they're shield-eaters and can really make you flinch just long enough for Bwaluigi to take it out on you. Watch out!
Reaction Shot[]
Bwario is also capable of setting up a reaction shot, just like in Mario + Rabbids. He'll stand stationary, gun cocked, and glow a soft, pulsing white. A field of vision will be drawn out, just as it is in his standard Gatling Gun attack, though this one is unique and follows a path of Bwario's choosing that isn't necessarily straight ahead. The aim can be drawn forward, then upwards, and down again like a spike, or in the shape of a square, or much anything else. The point is, get caught in Bwario's squiggles, and get shot at. If the player is caught in Bwario's scope, the camera will zoom in on Bwario for a brief moment with a special zoom effect as he shoots a mightier, piercing bullet at his foe.
Bludgeon[]
Bwaluigi carries a large red pipe, which he uses as his primary means of attack. He will rush down his opponents and slam the pipe in a horizontal pattern at them. This is a powerful Smash attack, so watch out! In one fell swoop, Bwaluigi can send you flying far.
Grab 'n' Go[]
Using his brute strength, Bwaluigi will pick up his foe with one hand and toss them straight into the ground! Like a stray gorilla, he tends to play with his prey before taking things fully out on them, and will run happily around the stage with them in his grasp, tongue out. This is your chance to try and wriggle out. Don't, and you'll be dished out a good amount of damage and will be grounded for upward of several moments.
Ground Pound[]
When he's down to half of his health, Bwaluigi will glow red and start to throw tantrums. Not only will all of his attacks become 1.2x stronger, he will also gain an additional attack! His version of ground pound sees the monstrous Rabbid repeatedly hopping up and down in a fit, moving towards his opponent as he thrashes at the ground. You know the drill—get caught, get grounded, and get sent flying.
