Breadbugs are strange creatures who resemble bread rolls for some reason. While Breadbugs aren’t a threat to Pikmin or their Captains in the traditional sense, their tendency to seek out treasures and carry them back to their dens can make them a problem. If a Breadbug does spot a treasure while it's out on patrol it will grab onto them with its mouth before slowly dragging it to its den. Larger variants known as Giant Breadbugs also exist which resemble a large loaf of bread.
Fight Pattern[]
Like in Pikmin, Breadbugs do not fight and will instead burrow out of the ground whenever they can sense an item nearby. The more valuable the item, the more likely a Breadbug will come out of the ground to try and steal it and this includes the larger Stat Boots. Breadbugs will latch onto the item with their mouths and start to carry it backwards. If the Breadbug is allowed to carry the item a short distance without being interrupted it will burrow back into the ground and take the item with it causing the item to despawn.
