Character Info[]
Bowser Jr. is the one true son of Bowser and as such is the heir to the throne of Dark Land. In his first villainous outing he was given the Magic Paintbrush, an invention by Professor E. Gadd, and used it to transform into Shadow Mario and paint graffiti all over Isle Delfino and pin the crime on Mario. This was all done under the false belief that Princess Peach was his momma and that he was rescuing her from the evil Mario. Bowser Jr. is also known to enjoy the odd prank or two, though sometimes they go too far such as when he painted his father’s face in his sleep and accidentally transformed Bowser into the fearsome Fury Bowser.

Entrance[]
Bowser Jr. will fly in from the side and pop out of the Junior Clown Car before making a taunting expression towards the camera.
Kirby Hat[]
Kirby will have Bowser Jr.’s top knot on top of his head, his eyebrows above his eyes, a miniature version of Bowser Jr.’s shell on his back, and will wear Bowser Jr.’s scarf like a headband.
Taunts[]
Up Taunt: Bowser Jr. will jump out of the Junior Clown Car and sit on its edge as he breathes out a tiny flame while chuckling. As this occurs, the Junior Clown Car will have a shocked expression.
Down Taunt: The Junior Clown Car will spin in a donut with its go-kart wheels as it has an angry expression on its face. As the donut ends, Bowser Jr. will spin in place inside of the Junior Clown Car before shaking his head, slightly dizzy.
Side Taunt: The Junior Clown Car will close its eyes and look slightly worried as Bowser Jr. raises up out of the Junior Clown Car slightly and swings his hammer around a couple times. If playing as one of the Koopalings, they will swing their Magic Wand instead. If playing as Boom Boom he will just pump his fist up twice in the air. If playing as Pom Pom she will also pump her fist up twice in the air while holding onto one of her shurikens.
Victory Poses[]
- Bowser Jr. will leap out of the Junior Clown Car and hop in celebration twice before striking a pose with both hands on his hips.
- Bowser Jr. will drive in from the side of the screen using his Junior Clown Car in go-kart form. The Junior Clown Car will spin in a donut before coming to a stop as Bowser Jr. swings his hammer. Like with Bowser Jr.’s Side Taunt, the Koopalings will instead wave their Magic Wand, Boom Boom will pump up his fist, and Pom Pom will brandish her shuriken.
- Bowser Jr. will climb out of the Junior Clown car with the assistance of one of its grabber claws. Bowser Jr. will then pull out a clean rag and wipe a smudge off of the Junior Clown Car to praise it for a job well done.
Moveset[]
Standard Special[]
Clown Cannon: The Junior Clown Car’s mouth will open up as a cannon sticks its way out of it. The cannon will then fire a cannonball out from it whose speed and power can be increased by charging up the attack. When the cannonball reaches the end of its path it will drop hard to the ground. When this occurs the cannonball actually changes its hitbox which makes it capable of dealing damage twice if timed just right. This is especially effective against shields.
Side Special[]
Clown Kart Dash: The Junior Clown Car will transform into a go-kart as its propeller retracts and four wheels appear along the bottom of the kart. Bowser Jr. will then speed forward inside of the cart for a good distance. The player can also either tilt the control stick or press either attack buttons to cause the kart to spin out in a doughnut which halts its horizontal movement. Both the dash and the donut are separate attacks with the doughnut maneuver dealing a higher amount of damage. If the doughnut is used in the air it actually can further propel the kart horizontally which then allows the move to be used one additional time.
Up Special[]
Abandon Ship!: With force, Bowser Jr. will eject himself from his Junior Clown Car and propel himself high up into the air. As this occurs, the Junior Clown Car will slowly fall to the ground and explode after a short distance if used in midair. If this move was used on the ground however then the Junior Clown Car will simply explode after a few seconds. While Bowser Jr. is being hurtled up into the air, he himself becomes a hitbox that can hurt other fighters. This attack is on the weak side however, but Bowser Jr. does have one additional option up his sleeve; his hammer. By pressing the special button Bowser Jr. will swing his hammer around him dealing more damage to fighters in front of him than behind him. Bowser Jr. is capable of air dodging once while in the air from using this special move, however if he’s attacked then he will enter a state of freeball until he lands back on the ground. Much like with their taunts and victory poses, if you are playing as one of the Koopalings then they will swing their Magic Wands instead of a hammer. Likewise, Boom Boom will just swing with his fists and Pom Pom will swing with her shuriken.
Down Special[]
Mechakoopa: A hatch will open up on the Junior Clown Car’s underside as a Mechakoopa falls out of it. If used in the air this Mechakoopa will fall in a strong downwards arc. Once the Mechakoopa is on the ground it will walk around on its current platform, turning around if it encounters a wall or edge. After walking for a set distance, the Mechakoopa will detonate and explode. If the Mechakoopa finds an opponent before this time, it will launch onto them with a bite dealing a small amount of damage and then explode shortly after. Mechakoopas can also be picked up and thrown like an item either by Bowser Jr. or any other fighter. Thrown Mechakoopas will explode on contact.
Final Smash[]
Jr.'s Flotilla Bombardment: All of the alt costume characters that the player isn’t being played as will very briefly peek themselves out from behind the player all at once for just a moment before they all fly up and over the top of the screen. The music will change to a new rendition of the Airship track from Super Mario Bros. 3 as 10 airships slowly rise up in the background from the bottom of the screen. Bowser Jr. and all his alt costumes can be seen piloting the varying airships as they prepare their ammunition. Reticles will appear on the screen, targeting on or near the other fighters, showing where an attack is about to land. Depending on the size of the stage 3-5 reticles may be present at once. Cannonballs will be fired from the airships at those reticles dealing heavy damage and knockback to any fighters caught in them. The airships will fire three volleys of cannonballs in total before the Final Smash ends and Bowser Jr. returns to his previous spot on the stage.
Extra Skill[]
Graffiti Trap: Bowser Jr. will whip out the Magic Paintbrush he once used as Shadow Mario and paint a familiar M-like symbol on the ground. This painted graffiti acts as a trap on the stage and will explode out into a burst of paint after either 5 seconds pass, a fighter runs over it, or Bowser Jr. activates it manually by pressing the Extra Skill input a second time. When the trap is activated a blast of paint will erupt from the platform damaging whatever fighter was near it. This paint is just damage/knockback however and does not apply any Ink status effect like what the Inklings utilize. If Bowser Jr. is next to a wall he also has the option of placing this graffiti trap against the wall by tilting the control stick towards it when activating this Extra Skill.
Unique Traits[]
Bowser Jr.’s Junior Clown Car can help to shield him from attacks. Attacks that hit the Junior Clown Car will only deal 0.88x damage than their normal value. To balance this, attacks that hit Bowser Jr. himself will deal 1.15x damage. Additionally, if the hurtboxes collide, then the Junior Clown Car’s hurtbox will take priority as the target of the attack.
As far as Bowser Jr.’s Home Stage is concerned, the main fighter “Bowser Jr.” has Delfino Plaza as their Home Stage. However all of Bowser Jr.’s alts will instead use Airship Fleet as their Home Stage.
