Enemy Info[]

If you want to use a weapon to fight, but aren’t feeling a sword or a gun, why not give a boomerang a try? Once a Primid picked up a boomerang and threw it, the tradition of the Boom Primid was born! Armed with a Subspace-brand Boomerang, Boom Primids must hone their skills in not just hitting their targets with their boomerang, but also being able to catch it on the way back!

Fight Pattern[]

Boom Primids bear some similarity to Scope Primids in that they prefer to stay a good distance away from players. That said, Boom Primids don’t actively try to get further away from the player as they do possess a melee attack. One interesting thing to note about the Boom Primid’s AI is that if the player is using a reflector-type move, the Boom Primid will wait to throw its Boomerang until after the reflector is put away.

Attacks[]

Smack[]

A Boom Primid’s melee option. While this attack has a short reach, it does come out pretty quick and works well for the Boom Primid in terms of getting the player away from them as they swing their boomerang in a downwards arc.

Boomerang Toss[]

Much like Link and his traditional boomerang attack, the Boom Primid can throw their boomerang through the air where it can hit players both on its initial flight out and the return trip back. Boom Primids can throw their boomerangs either horizontally or vertically in response to how the player is approaching them and if they are attempting to use aerial dodges to dodge their attacks. While the boomerang doesn’t deal a lot of damage, it does have a large hitbox making it fairly difficult to avoid.
