Boss Info[]
A gargantuan, invisible, evil spirit that was once sealed away by Impa in the bottom of the Well of Three Features in Kakariko Village. When Ganondorf assumed power, Bongo Bongo was able to gather its strength and break through Impa's seal and set Kakariko Village on fire before fleeing to the Shadow Temple where it was eventually destroyed by Link.
Boss Fight Details[]
During this fight the player will be on a strange Final Destination-like platform but with the properties of a bongo. Bongo Bongo's hands will be hitting the stage throughout the match causing a small shockwave of energy to roll a short distance from the impact point as well as bounce the player up into the if they are close enough to the hands with a higher bounce into the air the closer you are. Depending on what the player was doing (running, attacking, whatever) this bounce into the air can disrupt what you were trying to do in the fight.
While Bongo Bongo's hands are hitting the stage, you have to try and hit them to stun them temporarily. Each hand has 25 HP and once it's been damaged enough that hand will disappear temporarily. At the beginning of the battle you must defeat both hands before Bongo Bongo's main body will appear hanging down from the top of the screen. With both hands defeated he'll bring his head down level towards you and try to headbutt you. This is your chance to attack Bongo Bongo proper. After a short time Bongo Bongo will raise his body back up but now you'll be able to see his head peeking down from the top of the screen. The hands will regenerate at this point and start hitting the stage again. From here on out you have two choices. Defeat the hands again and force Bongo Bongo to lower himself back down to the stage or just jump up to Bongo Bongo yourself and attack it that way.
Attacks[]
Playing the Bongos[]
Bongo Bongo's stronger attack is also his main one. As long as they have health both of his hands will be slamming into the stage trying to play it like a pair of bongos. Being hit directly by the hands will deal the most damage but you can also be hurt by the resulting shockwave.
Headbutt[]
A weaker attack that Bongo Bongo utilizes when it's hands have been disabled. Bongo Bongo will swing its head around after lowering down to the stage to try and knock you away from itself.
