Bombers are walking bombs that like to perch themselves on a platform’s edges and wait for a target to be below them. At that point the Bomber will take a step forward and fall downwards where they will explode either on contact with their prey or the ground below them causing a large explosion. If Kirby manages to inhale a Bomber he will gain the Crash ability.
Item Usage[]
As an item, the Bomber will walk around back and forth not too dissimilar to the way that Bob-ombs operate. The Bomber will eventually explode after either a short amount of time, or when it walks off a ledge and falls onto something below. This explosion is very powerful and comes with a short slow down effect almost as if to provide the fighters with a final “oh no” moment. Alternatively, the Bomber can be picked up and immediately upon doing so the fighter will hold the Bomber up above their head. After a few seconds have passed, the same slow down effect will occur before the Bomber explodes and deals a high amount of damage to any fighter other than its wielder that are caught in the explosion. Unlike most other explosions in the game, the Bomber’s explosion cannot be absorbed by other attacks.
