Bolin is an Earthbender who grew up on the streets of Republic City. Bolin and his brother Mako would eventually join the Pro-Bending circuit when they founded their own team, the Fire Ferrets. Bolin and Mako would later meet the Avatar Korra after they lost their third teammate and were able to recruit the Avatar to be their team’s Waterbender. This would cement a friendship between the three as they formed the next generation of Team Avatar. When war was threatening the two water tribes, Bolin found himself recruited by Varrick as he became the leading actor in a series of propaganda mover films as the legendary hero, Nuktuk!
Mode of Assistance[]
When Bolin arrives he’ll strike an Earthbending stance and concentrate really hard on his bending. Over the next few seconds bits of earth will crop up and dust will fly in front of Bolin as he struggles to make anything else come out. After about 8 seconds of this, one of two things will happen. Most of the time, to Bolin’s disappointment, all he’ll be able to pull up from the ground is a set of jagged rocks which jut out from the ground and damage anyone that contacts them. This result will see Bolin looking dejected and on the verge of tears. However there is a 3 in 10 chance of Bolin seeing success and alongside those jagged rocks he’ll also pull out a jet of lava from the ground which shoots out a distance of two Bowsers into the air before flowing down over the rocks. This lava is more damaging than the normal rocks and will linger for a few seconds before it and Bolin disappear. In the meantime though Bolin will be giddy with excitement at his successful attempt at lavabending.
